Añejo Mockingbird

Used to be this place was mostly about music and pop culture, but it's slowly morphed into a launching pad for finding our foster greyhounds new homes. So be it. We love the hounds and are more than happy to use our modest little blog page to reach out and snag some attention for these greyt dogs... Oh, we'll still post the occasional odd music review or rant at the state of the Redskins from time to time, but they'll hafta take a back seat to the dogs 'til further notice

Ollie Is Ready To Go

So Ollie's been here for a few weeks - he's the brindle chilling out in the above pic - and what have we learned? Well, he's pretty much the same dog now that he was when he got here; which is to say that he's a super dog and is 100% ready to find his forever home. You're not going to find an easier greyhound to bring into your house than Ollie. He knows how to do everything and will acclimate into new surrounding with ease. Adopters will not have to worry with the typical learning curve that most newly-retired hounds go through. He's been there, done that, and has the t-shirt to prove it! Ollie will fit into just about any home situation or activity level save for one: homes with cats or other small animals (little dogs included) will not work. Ollie is not reliably small animal safe, so those with kitties and whatnot will have to look elsewhere. I can't stress enough how nice this hound is. Give Denise a call to schedule a visit with this handsome, easygoing boy.

Ollie

Handsome brindle boy, Ollie, has been returned to us. If you've ever read any of Lemony Snicket's A Series Of Unfortunate Events books, then you can sympathize with poor Ollie. Due to some unlucky and unfortunate timing, a series of events was launched which ultimately landed Ollie back with us. We will not put the specifics on display for everyone to gawk at. Interference from outside entities forced what we feel was an unwarranted eviction of Ollie from his former family. Suffice to say that either Denise or myself will give details to any potential adopters on the craziness that implemented Ollie's return.
On to more pleasant surroundings:
Ollie is a happy, well-behaved, brindle boy. He's completely housebroken, loves going on walks and generally gets along well with most larger dogs. He's gentle, quiet, and he's very fond of cockroaching and variations thereof!
Ollie is ready to go. He was in his former home since last Summer, so he's acclimated to home life, is current on all his shots and is ready to walk out the door right now. Ollie is tall, skinny (weighing between75/80lbs), very athletic and will surely make a super companion for his adopters. Call Denise to schedule a visit.
