Quatro = Gregarious
The Dictionary defines gregarious as: Seeking and enjoying the company of others; sociable. It's a perfect description of Quatro. This handsome boy goes out of his way to be a social butterfly - there's no one Quatro doesn't like. Quatro treats life like one big adventure; nothing phases him and every new place to go and every new situation is looked upon as a chance for excitement. Quatro has no fear of anything as far as we can tell. Be it noises, storms, horns, loud trucks, car rides, other dogs, whatever, he takes it all in stride. Quatro was with us yesterday for Greyhounds In Gettysburg and was an absolute hit with everyone whom he had contact with. He's a constant tail-wagger and an unflinching leaner which means he's a perfect Meet -n- Greet dog. Quatro has had no problems with changing environments, indeed, he just shrugs it off and looks forward to newer and possibly greater adventures.
So, with all that acclaim, you're probably asking yourself why he's still available, right? Well, Quatro has been through a long patch of bad luck due to things not in his control. Folks, this is one of the nicest greyhounds you'll ever come across and will absolutely make a fabulous companion animal for a lucky family that can meet his two needs.
1. No small animals in the home - no cats, rabbits, or any other furry creatures that run loose. Quatro has an extremely high prey drive and will go after anything small and furry that crosses his path.
2. Quatro really should go into a home with another dog to pal around with during the day. Alternately, he should go to a home where someone will home most of the time. Quatro can be very vocal when bored and alone. We've not seen any indications of destructive behavior, but he will bark loudly when bored. Loudly. Did we mention loudly? There you have it, loudly.
Quatro loves to go for walks on the leash and he also likes to jog, so anyone looking for a running/walking companion should give him some consideration if you can meet the above requirements. Quatro also does well with kids and likes to play with our collection of stuffies.
In short, a great dog and the very definition of Gregarious!

Hi,
He sounds like he would make a great therapy dog for nursing home or children's hospital visits, no?
I had a male grey like that and he was great for visits. It was nice to have a bigger purpose where he could use his gifts and energy.
Good luck. He seems like a real sweetheart. I hope someone takes him soon.
Danielle
He sounds GREAT! I have a 14 year old JRT and a 3 year old Dacshund-Pitt mix who would love to play-
Think Quarto would fit in??
